I had gone home to California and my parents had asked me to sing at their church on Sunday. On Saturday, I decided to get a massage from a friend of one of my sister's. While on the massage table, I started getting the words and music to this song. After my massage, I sat out in the parking lot waiting for my sister as she got a massage, and wrote the rest. When I got to another sister's house where I was staying while on vacation, I sat down at the piano and improvised how to do the train whistle and mimic the rolling and the speeding up of the train. I tried getting a train whistle, but the local model train store had burned down several weeks earlier! (wouldn't you know it). So, I improvised using several Major Seconds in the upper chords. Later, when we recorded we got some real train sounds.

It’s Your Life

It’s your Life so keep on moving.

Don’t look back we’re going Home.

So get on board, the train is leaving…

A One-way ticket back Home.

It’s you Life so keep on growing.

Open up to Love within.

Take your seat the train is moving,

Our train’s now rounding the bend.’

It’s your Life so keep your focus,

Steady now, and keep on track.

Hold on tight, the whistle’s blowing.

We’re now at full steam ahead.

It’s your Life so feel the Oneness.

Feel the Krist ascend within.

Know the Truth, you’ve always known it.

You’re on the train going home.

It’s Your Life,

It’s Your Life,

Get on board,

This train’s going Home,
